A Dark Source for Power

Not all shamans are as benevolent as the guides. As shamans of the Underworld, sorcerers are primarily concerned with powers from the lowest layer of existence, where only chaos and death can be found.

Low Base Health

Your base health is 60.

Boon of Underworld

Whenever you fail a precision roll, you can sacrifice 5 health to increase the result of that roll by one. You can do this multiple times per failed roll.

In addition, whenever you spend any amount of energy, you are healed for that amount.

Equivalent Exchange

As a rapid action, you can sacrifice 5 health to gain 10 temporary health for that round. This effect is clearly visible to other creatures.

Blood is Power

As a rapid action, you can sacrifice 5 health to increase your aptitudes in one of the following ways, until the end of this round:

  1. Increase either potency or control by 2, or
  2. Increase both by 1 each.

Death's Edge

When you are at or below 15 health and use an ability that costs or sacrifices health, you can instead spend 1 energy per 5 health cost to use that ability.

Hand of the Underworld

Target a creature as a full-turn action and make a precision roll against their Constitution. This will alert the creature to your location.
If you succeed, sacrifice up to 30 health. This creature takes armor-ignoring damage equal to the amount of health you sacrificed.
This ability does not get any bonuses to its damage.

Alteration

Category: Utility

Cost: 2 energy
Duration: (1 + C/4) hours
Effect
You can precisely manipulate a lifeless object smaller than (15 + C) cubic centimeters. You can apply one of the following:
1. Change the shape.
2. Shrink down to at most half size.
3. Enlarge up to double size or 25 cubic centimeters, whichever is smaller.
4. Cut or open holes.
This object returns to its original shape and properties after the duration. This ability can't be used on magical items.

Bane

Category: Offense

Cost: 3 energy
Duration: (1 + C/2) rounds
Effect
Enchant a weapon you can touch with the aura of the Underworld for the next hour.
Once, if a creature is killed with a weapon attack performed with this weapon, a spiritling of chaos is summoned for the duration.
The summoned spiritling shares your level and counts toward your summon limit. The wielder can command the spiritling to attack a creature as a rapid action, otherwise it will attack the foe closest to it.
This technique can also be used on a weapon wielded by an adjacent creature.

Call Chaos

Radius: (2 + P/3) meters
Duration: (2 + C/3) rounds
Effect
Create an area of darkness around you for the duration. This area is considered quarter cover and light rough terrain.
Summon a spiritling of chaos next to each creature hostile to you within the radius up to a maximum of (2 + P/3) spiritlings for the duration.
Spiritlings summoned by this technique share your level, do not count towards your summon limit, and attack the foe closest to them.

Curse Transfer

Effect
Touch a creature, and transfer a debilitating or harmful status effect from yourself to this creature.

Mark of Sacrifice

Category: Offense

Effect
Mark up to (1 + P/2) creatures for the duration, spending 1 energy per creature marked. If a marked creature dies while affected, adjacent creatures take 15 magical damage without requiring precision rolls.

Pain Illusion

Effect
Deal 20 magical damage to the target creature.
At the start of your next round, unless the creature has died, this damage is reversed and the creature regains health equal to the damage it received to its health.

Purge Blessings

Effect
Remove (1 + P/4) supportive status effects from the target creature, then deal a combined 10 magical damage per effect removed.

Spread Curses

Effect
Debilitating and harmful status effects that the target creature is affected by spreads to the creatures within the radius around it with their remaining durations. You can choose to reduce the radius of this ability when you use it, to a minimum of 1 meter.

Weaken Body

Effect
Apply sickened and exposed to the target creature for the duration. Additionally, you can apply fatigue by spending 4 energy instead.
